Fly Boy

18" x 13" ~ Watercolor on Paper

I liked the soft, gentle coloring of the reference photo for this Magnolia piece. So I decided to do it larger. The background has a soft, dusty teal color achieved with Cobalt Turquoise and Black. The Salmon color on the petals is Quin Red and Yellow Ochre. It's such a pretty color. Enjoy.

A very beautiful rendering. The delicacy of these flowers really comes across.

It was extremely interesting for me to read that blog. Thank you for it. I like such themes and everything connected to them. I would like to read a bit more soon.

I love your Magnolias and this is a real beauty so full of life and an inner vibrancy, you have once again captured the waxy quality of the magnolia petals
