Trumpet Vine

6" x 7.5" ~ Watercolor on Paper

Heralding the beginning of the Holiday Season....the Trumpet Vine. A very unique flower, growing wild around here. But those trumpets are cute as a button.

How do you capture the light so well? You really need to do an online demo. Love your stuff.

So much for the pinks! This is beautiful.
I love your deep dark backgrounds, but I also love this one, where you suggest leaves and stems et al, will this be on your video? the different ways you build your backgrounds?

Oh I hope your backgrounds are on your video!

My first response when I saw this painting was to say out loud "You are SOOOOOOO GOOD!" And you are.

Gorgeous! Although this is supposed 'trumpet' the Holiday Season, I get a blast of summer warmth from the colors - which I'm most grateful for!

Janice, I'm doing a video or two now...will be available soon. Thank you for the kind comments. :~)

Yes, Guy there is going to be a soft focus background on the video. I may do a couple of videos with different backgrounds, etc.

Hi Shawna from Yellowknife. :~) It's just what I do. All day. Every day. Blessed that people like my watercolors.

Deborah, I need to do some things that are seasonal...maybe a poinsettia or two in the future....but the flowers are timeless. They're my staple :~)

Hi Jackie,
Really pleased to hear that you will be demonstrating a soft - focus background on one of your videos - put me down for that one. Can't wait! What a lot of work you must be puting in on this project; but I'm sure it's going to be really popular with your fans. I hope you get enough made to go around. When do you think they may be ready?
Thanks for the info about the Georgia O'Keeffe book - looking for a reasonably priced one now.
Kind regards
Jacki (UK)
