Indiana Dunes

7" x 5" ~ Oil on Hardboard

Back to the topic of broadening my horizons. :~) A landscape in oil. So much fun to do. This was one of my favorite spots along Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore, which is the very bottom part of Lake Michigan. At the horizon line by the tree you can see the distant smoke stacks from the steel mills. I am very much enjoying my new challenges! Thank you for letting me indulge. Watercolor Girl is very happy!

Really, really nice. A wonderful contrast between the peacefulness of the shore and those smokestacks in the city in the distance. I like it very much.

Love to see a landscape from your normal fine detailed close up work and this is really lovely and I look forward to seeing more of them in the future
