Sunrise Dahlia

"Sunrise Dahlia"
8" x 8" ~ Watercolor on Paper

SOLD

Still impressed with the intense richness of my M. Graham Watercolors. The colors glow like a sunrise. So I thought it apropos to call this Dahlia....Sunrise Dahlia. I think it makes me happy. This would be a great painting to look at in the middle of winter when we're under the permacloud. Enjoy!

Georgeous! I think they were designed with a mini light in the center. Your petals are perfect.

This Dahlia like a sunshine Jacqueline. The Sun lives inside it and pours from the middle. And next it cools down at the end of each petal with purple (is it cobalt violet mix or opera rose mixed with violet?)
Thank you very much,
Irina

I check out daily painters often and this painting jumped out in thumbnail size. Its beautiful! Just yesterday saw a book with GLASS flowers recreated for Harvard, now I'm flowe focused!
Brilliant work!
Continued success!

It does glow!! I used such intense colors that it does look like it has a little light in the center!! The purply color is Permanent Violet Reddish with touches of Cobalt. Thanks everyone. It took a lot longer then my usual Daily Painting, because of all of the petals....YIKES. But it was worth it. Thank you everyone. I've got a really beautiful rose on my board right now. It's a cool color of pink with a touch of violet. It has a Victorian feel, but really a very unique color. Stay Tuned....
